Kitchen Manager – directly responsible for all kitchen functions including purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; menu planning and seasonal specials formulation; training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation and plate presentation; proficiency in controlling labor and food costs; and superior sanitation and cleanliness practices.
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a Kitchen Manager (with additional 1 year previous supervisory experience of a food service operation) with sales in excess of $1M. Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel, and guests. Familiarity with basic computer programs and a current Servsafe Manager Certification is required.
FOH Supervisors – ensure the consistent planning, production, preparation, and prompt delivery of great-tasting food and beverages. You will help to create an atmosphere in the brewpub that builds energy, fun, enthusiasm and teamwork. Exceeding the expectations of our guests is critical to our operation.
You will be responsible for operational efficiency and profitability of food service related operations and the training and retention of new and experienced team members to continually develop them in their technical skills, salesmanship, food
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role. Must have great communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with other managers, all team members, and guests. Must have a current Food Handler’s Card.
Bartenders – will be the craft beer ambassadors of Hollister Hills Taproom & Brewery. Educate and promote house beers with guests. Coordinate guests’ dining experience, ensuring that the guest receives immediate professional attention. Complete cash accounting and all related paperwork. Participate in the maintenance of the draft system including changing kegs.
Basic beer knowledge and previous server and/or bartender experience preferred but a minimum of 1-year experience in service related industry required. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and guests. Must be self-motivated and possess the desire to continually expand job knowledge and skills by attending training sessions. Food Safety Card required. Cicerone Beer Server certification preferred.
Line Cooks – you’ll help run a clean, sanitary, highly functional and financially sound kitchen through integrity in recipes, minimizing waste and inefficiency, and keeping all equipment in highly functional working order. You’ll champion a real guest focus in all kitchen operations as you focus on consistency in preparation of menu and presentation standards on the plate.
Must have a minimum of 1 year working as a full line cook with experience in every station. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, managers and guests. Food Safety Card required.
BOH Assistant - will wear many hats to help the team operate smoothly and efficiently as well as provide the guest with an exceptional experience. As the BOH Assistant, you will be in charge of dishwashing, facility cleanliness & maintenance as well as aid in the preparation of food items and brewing process. You will be critical in receiving inventory and organizing supplies. From time to time, you may be called upon to assist the FOH staff with delivery of food to guests and changing kegs.
Experience in commercial kitchen is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly, ability to communicate with co-workers, managers, brewers and guests. Food Safety Card required.
